The rumors have been flying about Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, and their oh-so-elusive daughter, Suri. The three month old baby has yet to be seen by the public. And, to add fuel to the conspiracy flames, no photos have been released of the infant.
I’m sure you’ve heard the rumors by now, but if not, here is a summary. I’ve heard everything from ‘Suri doesn’t exist’ to ‘they’re waiting for a better photo deal’ to ‘scientology says she must be kept in solitude and quiet.’ I don’t know how much I believe any of those rumors, but they are interesting food for thought.
The rumor has also been spreading that Katie is pregnant again. I find that very hard to believe. I mean, she’s not Britney Spears! Who, by the way, is due again in a couple of months. Katie Holmes was seen recently in Telluride, and I admit, she wasn’t looking her best, but that doesn’t mean she’s expecting again. She could have at least slapped some makeup on and brushed her hair!
I do find it odd that the couple is being so secretive about their new daughter. On the one hand, I admire them for keeping her out of the spotlight and not parading her through the streets, but couldn’t they give the public something? Maybe just a photo shoot like Brad and Angelina? Or perhaps they are trying to peak the public’s interest and draw more attention to their daughter by keeping her a secret. A kind of strange ‘whose baby can be most popular?’ war among the celebrities. Wouldn’t that be great!
I guess they do have to outdo Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in some way. They are already tied in the ‘famous, unwed celebrities who have children together’ race.
Any guesses as to what’s really going on here? Anyone think the whole thing may really be a ruse and that Suri doesn’t even exist?
