Mother Nature’s Bounty

Enjoy fresh fruits and veggies while they are in season.

This post is all about inner beauty, as in keeping your body beautiful by eating beautiful, good things. I’ll admit that I’m a little sad summer is coming to an end. I have loved the fun trips, but also the simple joys of summer – like strolling through the produce section at the store to find fresh fruits and vegetables that are actually affordable enough for me to add to our family menu.

I know it gets harder as the weather gets colder to keep fresh fruis and vegetables on the table. This is why I was particularly excited that after our weekend trip to my husband’s grandparent’s, they sent us home with a bucket full of goodies from their garden: apples, crookneck squash, sweet corn, peaches, and tomatoes. Yum! I know the time to savor all of these fresh jewels is coming to a close, so here is a quick cheat sheet to see how much longer you’ll be able to enjoy the fruits and veggies of the summer. Enjoy Mother Nature’s bounty while you can!

Here are the fruits and vegetables that will be in season over the next month or so:
