It’s not often that I mix beauty and politics, but I have been following the interesting story of Loretta Nall, the Libertarian candidate for governor in Alabama, and have decided to share with you some of the things I have learned.
Loretta Nall is definitely one of the strangest politics candidates I have come across. She is probably best known for her work to legalize marijuana. In 2002, after being arrested for possession of marijuana, she founded the United States Marijuana Party.
The most interesting note about her campaign is how she is deciding to finance it. Granted, she does not come from a well-off background, but there is something strange about using your body to make money for a political race. Loretta is “flashing for cash,” showing revealing pictures of herself on her official website for people who contribute to her campaign. She promises her supporters a glimpse of “the biggest boobs in Alabama politics” in exchange for their money.
I’m not sure what to think about her makeup. She is probably just trying to be herself, but I bet she could raise more money if she would spend more time on her hair and makeup. It looks to me like she can use a new shade of lipstick. Dark lipstick colors don’t go well with her light complexion. Something more peachy or light pink might do the trick. Also, her hair color is definitely not for her. I would suggest she stick with her natural brown and ditch the fake blonde; maybe a darker brown with light highlights. After all, if you are going to be a public figure, you need to take care of yourself and show the media your best side! Or perhaps she has already done that…..
