Last night, the final two American Idol contestants, Taylor Hicks and Katharine McPhee, performed three songs each, in a final competition to become the next American Idol. While both did an amazing job, I have to agree with Simon that I think that Taylor will win.
That being said, I really enjoyed Katharine’s performances and I think she looked beautiful. My favorite outfit was her blue spaghetti strap dress; with her dark hair and dark eye makeup, she looked fantastic. I have to wonder, though, if her hair is naturally that dark, because if it is, I am jealous.
It could be just me, but when I saw this picture of Katharine, it reminded me of Kelly Clarkson, the first American Idol. They look very similar to me. It isn’t even because they had the same makeup artist, because Alexis Vogel, who did the first season and was responsible for Kelly Clarkson’s flawless look, isn’t doing the makeup this season. Mezghan Hussainy is the makeup artist on American Idol this year. And I must say, she is doing a great job. All the women on the show looked amazing this season.
Well, I guess we will just have to wait until tonight to find out how America will vote. My money is still on Taylor, though…
