How to Get that Flawless Complexion

How to Get That Flawless Complexion

C’mon ladies, everyone knows the thing that everyone wants but only babies and supermodels truly have. And I’m sure that even babies and supermodels have their bad skin days. So the question is: how do you get that peaches n’ cream complexion?

What You Put on Your Face

Let’s start with the basics. Everyone knows that to have healthy and beautiful skin you need to take good care of it by washing it, moisturizing ect. However, to truly have beautiful skin day after day you need to take it a step further than that.

Cleansing: You will want to cleanse your skin with a gentle, oil-free cleanser that has been dermatologically tested to not clog pores. If you are prone to breakouts, try using a cleanser that has Salicylic acid in it, it will help to clear your face over time. Remember to take off your eye makeup with an oil-free eye makeup remover before washing your face, cleanser alone cannot breakdown mascara and you will end up with a goopy mess under your eyes in the morning. Wet your face and lather the soap in your hand before applying it to the face.

Toning: I personally love to use toner because it gets rid of the dirt and makeup that my cleanser leaves behind and leaves my face feeling clean and refreshed. Apply toner with a cotton swab, not your fingers and let it completely dry before applying moisturizer. Try a toner with a low alcohol base, because alcohol tends to be very drying on the skin. If you have extra-dry skin or toner makes your face flake out, then try an extra creamy moisturizer or skipping the toning process altogether until you can get your dryness under control.

Moisturizing: I try to always moisturizer at night and before applying makeup even if my face does feel oily. If your face is oily, try using a light-weight skin brightening moisturizer that will just give you a touch of color and help your makeup go on smoothly. If you have normal or combination skin, try using an oil-free moisturizer that won’t clog your pores. If you have extra-dry skin, try a heavy moisturizing cream in the morning and night. And ladies, always use moisturizer that has SPF 15 in it. Prevent those wrinkles!

Exfoliating, Masks and Facials: I like exfoliating every other night to remove dead skin cells so that my makeup goes on easier. Don’t exfoliate every night and don’t use too grainy of a scrub, or you could irritate your skin. If you are prone to breakouts or dry skin, use an acne or hydrating mask once a week. They are fun and help your skin in the process! I never get facials because I have super-sensitive skin, but for lucky girls with regular skin, getting a facial is fun and makes your face super soft and kissable!

Take care of your skin religiously and you will get the complexion that you deserve!

I think what you said about lipliner was stupid. I’m Seventeen and I wear it. You advised that you should be 18 and older to wear it. Lipliner isn’t cigarettes or booze, you idiots! It’s make up and can look nice on younger people as well as long as it’s done right. And I think it’s also stupid to put an age range for eyeliner. I was 13 when I started wearing it. Again, you advised that 15 and older should wear it. Stop suggesting age ranges for make up and just give tips on appling it!!! Who are you,, my mother?!
