After going over what makeup colors to wear for summer 2006, it only seems right to review how to apply eye makeup, so that not only will you have hot colors, but you will also have beautiful application! These step-by-step tips should help walk you through the sometimes difficult task of getting that perfect eye makeup job.
Eye Shadow
Start with a base color, the lightest color you have, and apply it to the entire lid, from lash to eyebrow. Next, pick a medium color and apply it to the lid from lash to crease. Finish off with a darker color on the outside of the lid. Pick eye shadow colors that blend well together and create a defined look for the eye. Remember that hot colors for the summer are pastels and shimmers.
Eye Liner
Whatever eye liner you decide to use, liquid, pencil, felt tip, or cake, apply a line above the upper lash and one below the lower lash. Use a cotton ball or makeup wedge to smudge the lines. Liquid liners can be tricky, so test them first on the back of your hand to see how much pressure you should apply. Eye shadows can also be used as eye liners, and that gives you a lot more color options! If you are using eye liner pencils, keep them sharpened and ready because blunt or broken ends don’t do a great makeup job and can hurt!
Mascara
To apply mascara, start with the top lashes. If you want to use an eye lash curler to get more definition, do that first. Then, while looking down, swipe the mascara downwards from lash to tip. Next, look up and swipe the mascara upwards on the top lashes. While still looking up, put a light coat on the bottom lashes, sweeping downwards. Let the mascara dry for a minute, then apply another layer. Use a brush to separate the lashes. The mascara that looks best on most women in black/brown because it is soft and natural.
Removing Eye Makeup
It’s important to take eye makeup off every night, so as not to irritate the eyes. You can use a variety of products to remove eye makeup including baby oil, Vaseline, baby wipes, or makeup up removal cloths.

I am so Jazzed..InStyle Mag in their last issue recommended a product for keeping eyelashes healthy that is actually a heated eyelash curler,
Hotlashes. The look for Spring and summer is big eyes with lush eyelashes and mine are so friggin skrimpy.
I love the look I get with this, I look so much better. I see such a great difference with curled lashes, Who knew..I am ready now for a beautiful summer.
