Hair loss is a sensitive issue for lots of people, both men and women, and people will do just about anything to save their hair. There are expensive surgeries or treatments that can reverse the effects of hair loss, or pricey products that will stimulate new hair growth. We’ve all heard plenty about those – instead, here are some things you can try at home that stimulate hair growth and stop hair loss and that aren’t expensive or time consuming.
1. To prevent hair loss drink one cup of lettuce and spinach juice daily.
2. Wash your hair with peppermint or spearmint tea to promote hair growth.
3. Apply raw egg and olive oil to your hair to prevent hair loss.
4. Soy protein powder or soybean flour strengthens hair and can promote re-growth. Create a smooth paste with the powder or flour and water and apply it all over to your wet hair. Leave it in for a while and then wash it out.
5. Apply coconut milk with aspirin and leave it in your hair for two hours then wash and rinse your hair. This will help with hair growth as well!
6. For hair growth and also healthier and stronger hair, take olive oil capsules.
7. Take vitamins! Lack of vitamin B6 and folic acid will lead to hair loss because your body doesn’t have the nutrients to produce the hair. So take a multivitamin every day. It’s good for you anyways!
8. Stress is another cause of hair loss, so take the time to relax and stop worrying about things. Exercise is a great way to relieve stress.
9. After washing your hair with cold water, rub your scalp with your fingertips for several minutes. Keep rubbing until your scalp tingles with heat. This is one of the most effective ways to stimulate hair growth.
10. If you are starting to get bald patches, you can rub the area with onion until it is red and follow it up with honey.
These are some of my favorite home remedies to treat hair loss. If you have any others that I’ve left off, let me know!
