Happy Feet Foot Soak

This week I decided to give myself a pedicure. I came across this pin on Pinterest for a vinegar foot soak, it looked nice and easy, so I decided to give it a try. After the baby was in bed, I gathered my supplies and went to it.

Before soaking, I removed my toenail polish and clipped my nails. To make the soak, just mix 1/2 cup white vinegar and a gallon of hot water, with a few drops of essential oils. I used a 13 inch x 11 inch cake pan to mix it in. Turn on a favorite TV show (it was Gilmore Girls for me), find a comfy seat and let your feet soak for 45 minutes.

Foot Soak: 1/2 cup white vinegar, a gallon of warm water and a few drops of essential oil.

When time is up, use a pumice stone to remove the skin on heels and other callused areas of your feet. I also cleaned up my cuticles and applied lotion. My feet felt amazing. I finished off the pedicure with some purple nail polish.

I am always a bit skeptical about trying things I find online because I never know if they are going to work, but this one was a major success for me. It was cheap, easy, and allowed me to relax for a bit. This was a much needed pampering for my feet, especially since I hadn’t done anything to help my feet since flip-flop season has ended.

My feet feel happy. I am working on convincing my husband to do the soak because he could really used it and I think he will like it.
