Get Rid Of Dandruff

If you’ve got dandruff and want to know how to get rid of it, I have some tips for you! First of all, dandruff is simply dead skin that has peeled off of your head. About 50% of adults will have dandruff at some point in their lives, so you aren’t alone! It’s important if you have dandruff, though, to get rid of it – not just because you may not like it, but because it weakens the roots and can make your hair fall out. So, that said, here are some tips to get rid of dandruff!

Shampoo your hair regularly with a gentle shampoo to prevent dandruff. Massage your scalp gently and rinse your hair well.
• Mix two eggs and two tablespoons of water. Massage this mixture into your scalp (your hair should already be wet) and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Rinse your hair with lukewarm water.
• Add three drops of tea tree oil to a small amount of your shampoo and wash your hair with that.
• Eat less fried foods, dairy products, sugar, chocolate and nuts. These foods can all increase dandruff.
• If your dandruff condition is not being helped by any of these treatments, you may need to use a dandruff shampoo. Neutrogena has a good product, as does Tegrin.
• When you use a dandruff shampoo, leave it on for at least five minutes to give the active ingredients time to work.
• If your dandruff shampoo worked at first, but seems to have lost its effectiveness, try alternating between two brands.
• Some common household remedies for dandruff include apple cider vinegar or lemon juice. Apply the liquid to your scalp and leave it on for as long as you want, anywhere from several minutes to overnight. You can apply the liquids with a spray bottle or just pour them on.
• Comb your hair before you shower to loosen the dead skin. Remember to rinse thoroughly!
