I can’t believe it! I just can’t believe that Chris Daughtry got voted off American Idol last night. I think I am more upset than I was when Mandisa went home. I honestly expected Katharine to go. She did get the next lowest amount of votes next to Chris, but still, I thought he had an easy-in for the next round. We ran a poll on this site to see which American Idol contestant people wanted to win and Chris came out the winner by far.
What changed to make people suddenly not vote for him? Did they just think that he was guaranteed a win, so they didn’t need to bother? I thought his performance on Tuesday night was great; nothing alarming there that would suggest he wouldn’t make it to the next round. Well, I guess life is full of surprises.
I did think that Katharine looked amazing on Tuesday night. Her makeup looked great and her hair was beautiful. Maybe that’s why she made it through another week. After all, she is the only girl left, so I guess all the men voted for her!
This is getting too tense for me! I’m going to predict that next week Taylor Hicks goes home. It’s difficult to pick who I want to win now that Chris is gone. Anyone else have any predictions about how the show will turn out?

I feel the same way-Chris was the front runner favorite, which, in hindsight, may have caused his demise. Either America thought he was a shoe-in, or the lines were so jammed up that not as many votes were actually cast on his behalf. Well, the only thing left to watch and see is who ends up winning. With Chris out, the performances become just a formality. If raw talent won’t win it, as Chris clearly demonstrated he had, than how will Elliot fair next week? My prediction - Elliot goes home based on him being the next best vocal singer in the group. Nah, I’m not still bitter.

Elliot the NEXT best vocal singer? You have GOT to be kidding. Chris Daugherty’s early cast-off is not what makes me think Idol is fixed, the fact that Elliot is still on the show is what makes me think it’s fixed!!
That guys is a lounge singer…at BEST! He brings NOTHING extraordinary to the table, nothing! I have like Hicks from early on, but never thought he’d make it this far, good for him!
Katharine, however… Now THERE is a voice!! Does she have RAW talent? Not for stage performance, so to speak. But her vocals are the BOMB!!! Yes, this girl CAN sing!! Yes, I have the McPheever!! If I were single I’d become a stalker! j/k, of course, but she is so down to earth, I love it!
