  • Run the bristles of the makeup brush under warm, not too hot or cold, running water and leave it there for about 30 seconds.
  • After you have kept the makeup brush under the warm water for about half a minute, you will want to apply a small amount of shampoo to the bristles and work it into a soapy lather.
  • After the shampoo has penetrated the bristles, you will want to wash the shampoo out thoroughly.
  • Continue rinsing the brush until no color leaves the brush.
  • Leave the makeup brush to air-dry over night.
