Product Review: Ion Color Defense Intense Moisture
I’ve colored my hair several times in the past decade. The first few times, I was brand new to the color-changing game so I didn’t know I would need to treat or condition my hair afterwards. Needless to say, within a few weeks, I could already tell my hair was brittle and going to be all split-ends in no time.
The third time I dyed my hair, my hair stylist recommended I go by Sally Beauty Supply and pick up something to condition and repair my hair. When I went in the store, the sales clerk pointed to the sample-sized packets right at the register. I picked one up and went home to try it out. You can guess how much I liked it by the fact that I ended up going to Sally’s so may times for single-use packets that I finally broke down and spent the $7.50 for the tube.
Not a bad deal when you breakdown all of the good aspects of this conditioner. I honestly don’t think I have anything negative to say about it in fact. It’s a great deep conditioner that is thick and creamy and definitely feels like you are putting healthy oils and nourishment back in your hair. It also contains ingredients that help your hair color last longer. What else is great is that it isn’t limited to just after you color your hair either. It’s a great deep conditioner to use if your hair ever feels like it simply need a little healthy boost.
There you have it. If you are a frequent hair dyer, you will love having this deep conditioner on hand. If you don’t dye your hair and are just looking for a general deep conditioner, Ion has other lines like Effective Care Treatment and and Extreme Moisture Creme that I’m sure are just as great!
