Anna Nicole Smith Pregnant

Anna Nicole Smith confirmed rumors today that she is indeed pregnant, and is actually five months along. About one month ago, gossip started that she might be expecting, and her lawyer, Howard Stern, would neither confirm nor deny the reports, saying that Anna Nicole thought it was funny how much people were talking about it.

Perhaps partly to keep from humoring her, I have waited to say anything about her pregnancy until it was official. The strange thing is, there is no word on who the father is. Or with Anna Nicole perhaps that isn’t strange… Rumors (again with the rumors!) are that the father is her current partner, photojournalist Larry Birkhead.

The new Hollywood craze seems to be having children. Hey, if you can’t make movies that sell well, you have to get yourself in the news somehow! Look at Brangelina and TomKat, just to name the two most popular celebrity families right now. And don’t forget Britney Spears! Call me cynical, but it just seems to be another way to get the media’s attention, besides plastic sugeries and perfect makeup. And it works! Look, we are talking about her!
