American Idol’s Ladies

We are now down to the top five contestants on American Idol. This week, Kellie Pickler was eliminated from the show. I guess I wasn’t too surprised that she didn’t make the cut. She has never been one of my favorites.

Today I want to do something a little different. I want to compare the makeup and skin care of the two remaining female contestants on American Idol, Paris Bennett and Katharine McPhee. I don’t know which one of them will get further in the competition (but my bet is on Katharine), but we are going to set that aside and talk about their makeup.

Katharine McPhee I think they are both beautiful girls. Katharine has, interestingly enough, great eyebrows, I think. I also love her hair. I wasn’t able to find out if it is her natural color, but if it is, she is lucky! She also has amazing skin. Her fair skin combined with her dark eyeliner and eyelashes is beautiful. If I could recommend one change for her, it would be a touch of blush on her cheeks. She has very defined cheekbones, so just a light color would be a great addition to her makeup.

Paris Bennett I didn’t realize how young Paris is; she is only 17. She is still a beautiful girl even though she looks young. Her lipstick is a great color for her dark complexion. Katharine would look like a clown if she tried to pull off lipstick of that color. I don’t like Paris’ eye shadow, though. I can’t decide what color to recommend, I just don’t care for the shade she is wearing in this picture.

Well, they are both beautiful and obviously talented young ladies and I am excited to see what happens next week!
